This is the LICENSE file inside EquipLog 1.1.1, word for word. It is the agreement you accept when you use EquipLog, and it is here so you can read it, or hand it to whoever has to read it, before you buy.
One purchase licenses EquipLog for one organization, on any number of its computers. Nothing below is a summary or a plain-English version: it is the text the download ships, reproduced exactly. Questions about it go to support@alderworks.dev.

END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT

This agreement is between ALDERWORKS LLC ("Alderworks", "we") and the organization
or person that obtained this copy of EquipLog (the "Software", "you"). By
opening or using the Software you accept these terms. If you do not accept
them, do not use the Software and delete every copy you hold.
1. What is licensed
The Software is the file EquipLog.html and the accompanying files
distributed with it, including screenshots, the walkthrough video, and this
document.
2. License grant
Subject to these terms, Alderworks grants you a non-exclusive,
non-transferable license to install and use the Software for your own
operations, including work you do for your customers.
A purchased license covers one organization. That organization may run the
Software on any number of devices it controls and make any number of copies
for that use, including copies kept for backup.
3. What you may not do
You may not:
a. sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or otherwise redistribute the
Software, or make it available to anyone outside your organization;
b. modify, translate, or create derivative works from the Software, except
through the settings and files the Software itself reads and writes;
c. decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of
the Software beyond what applicable law permits notwithstanding this
restriction;
d. remove, obscure, or alter any product name, version, copyright, or
license notice in the Software or its files;
e. use the Software in any way that is unlawful.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Alderworks retains all right, title, and
interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights.
Nothing in this agreement transfers any of those rights to you. The
Database workbooks, records, exports, calendar files, and printouts you
create with the Software are yours.
5. Your data and files
The Software runs entirely in your browser and makes no network requests.
The equipment register, calibration and maintenance records, names, and
certificates stay on the device or in the folders where you save them.
Alderworks does not receive, store, or process any of that data, and is not
responsible for its retention or loss. The admin passcode is a guard
against mistakes, not a security control: who can change the records is
decided by who can write to the shared folder. Keep backups of any file you
rely on.
6. Updates and support
Alderworks may provide updated versions of the Software from time to time.
Updates are covered by this agreement unless they come with different terms.
Support is provided by email at support@alderworks.dev on a reasonable-
efforts basis and is not guaranteed for any particular response time.
7. The Software is a record-keeping aid
THE SOFTWARE IS A RECORD-KEEPING AID. IT DOES NOT CALIBRATE, TEST, OR
VERIFY ANY EQUIPMENT, IT IS NOT A CALIBRATION CERTIFICATE, AND IT DOES NOT,
BY ITSELF, APPLY OR CERTIFY COMPLIANCE WITH ANY STANDARD, REGULATION, OR
QUALITY SYSTEM. DUE DATES ARE WORKED OUT FROM THE DATES AND INTERVALS YOU
ENTER. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFIRMING THAT YOUR EQUIPMENT IS FIT FOR
USE AND THAT THE RECORDS KEPT WITH IT MEET YOUR OWN REQUIREMENTS.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ALDERWORKS DOES NOT
WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALDERWORKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR
ANY LOSS OF PRODUCTION, PRODUCT, PROFIT, OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THIS AGREEMENT, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY
THEORY OF LIABILITY. ALDERWORKS' TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT SHALL
NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE LICENSE.
10. Termination
This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination
you must stop using the Software and delete every copy you hold. Sections
4, 7, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. General
This agreement is the entire agreement between you and Alderworks about the
Software and replaces any earlier terms. If any part of it is found
unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Alderworks' failure to enforce a
term is not a waiver of it.
